Mark is an experienced and qualified portfolio, programme and project manager across a range of sectors. Mark started his career as a highway and structures design and maintenance engineer working in local authorities. This transitioned into evidence-based transport research, providing consultancy and delivery of new knowledge projects allowing him to hone his project management skills. More recently Mark was engaged on a £102m rail innovation 5-year portfolio funded by the DfT.
Key skills include strong programme & project management, change management, and commercial awareness which allows him to analyse situations and find efficiencies and savings in the delivery of projects. He has a track record of consistently delivering projects under budget.
As a confident presenter and workshop facilitator Mark can engage with stakeholders to identify issues, develop change behaviour, provide reinforcement to make change stick, and successfully realise project benefits.
Experience of working with a variety of public and commercial organisations has provided Mark with an excellent understanding of the business requirements of each to help form a collaborative approach.
