Business Analyst - security cleared

  • Location: Andover (initially) and remotely
  • Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary:  £35,000-£45,000 year/dependent on experience

We are looking for experienced Business Analysts (BA) to provide initial and ongoing engagement with customers, in order to understand and collate their business requirements in a manner consistent with Agile software development.

The candidate must be able to display integrity, and be a deliverer of high-quality consultancy, design and efficient workflows. They will be able to optimise the user journey, and reduce costs where appropriate, adapting seamlessly to new processes and change within a fast-paced work environment. In addition, they will need to be analytical, adaptable, and have the motivation and drive to motivate and mentor those around them.

The ideal candidate will have demonstratable experience of:

  • Working in the Defence sector
  • Working in Agile environments and utilising their appropriate methodologies
  • Working with Scrum methodologies, and employing their appropriate methods and processes
  • Requirements gathering, analysis and management
  • Feasibilities studies and Impact Assessments
  • Benefits definition and management, definition and agreement of benefits measures and Management Information
  • Presentation and justification of conclusions from analysis to project colleagues and wider stakeholders
  • Effective engagement with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts
  • Responding to Management Information and ad-hoc requests as required

Core skills:

  • Minimum of SC clearance
  • A thorough understanding and hands-on experience of working with SAFe and Agile frameworks.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders to gather business requirements
  • Ability to convert high-level requirements into User Stories
  • Ability to co-ordinate with Developers, Solution Architects, and the wider business to ensure each User Story has sufficient detail to be worked on by a Developer
  • Ability to define the acceptance criteria for each User Story
