Junior Consultant - Business Change

Job brief

This is a key position within our Business Change team; we are looking for the right individual to join our Business Change capability within our Defence business. The successful candidate will be a key part of our Business Change team, supporting the broader team as well as developing a portfolio of Change skills. As part of the wider Defence team, the successful candidate will support and contribute to Change projects across a broad range of business environments.

Responsibilities

  • Make a positive contribution to the delivery of Business Change Consultancy function within the business and particularly, within the Defence sector through supporting the wider Business Change team
  • Deliver tasks on time and to a standard consistently beyond the expectations of clients
  • Developing both a professional Change skill-set as well as up-to-date knowledge base of Change principles and approaches
  • Supporting the Business Change team across a range of analytical and administrative tasks with a positive can-do attitude
  • Understanding the needs of a range of stakeholders with the ability to translate these into requirements
  • Experience in engaging with benefits realisation, both analysing and tracking these
  • Serve as an ambassador to the business’s capabilities through consistent exceptional Change delivery

Requirements

  • Experience working in an analytical role within a projects/programmes/portfolio orientated environment
  • Proven experience working in a highly regulated environment with a keen attention to detail
  • Awareness and understanding of approaches to change management
  • Experience in the implementation of benefits management, quality management, blueprint design and delivery principles
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills across a range of stakeholder groups
  • Ability to identify and work toward key areas for continued personal professional development including professional qualifications such as APMG and Prosci
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams; maintaining a high level of both performance and delivery
  • Candidates must be willing to travel occasionally in line with project assignments
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • The suitable candidate will be expected to achieve Security Clearance

Desirable

  • At least 2-3 years relevant professional experience
  • Recent experience of working within the Defence industry
  • Appropriate qualifications (APMG, Change Management Institute, PROSCI or equivalent)
