The imminent winter months, with energy prices at an all-time high, are causing legitimate concern for millions of people across the country. In lieu of this, i3Works recently announced additional support measures to help offset the costs associated with the energy price cap.

Starting in November, each employee will be given up to £1,200 as part of a winter payment scheme. These payments are prioritised and split into four priority groups, banded according to each employees’ net income: employees on the highest priority are provided with the most support across four winter months (November, December, January & February), and employees on the lowest priority offered support across two winter months (January & February).

The payment was announced by Executive Director Ben Ames in August along with the company’s financial report and the strategy for the year ahead.

The news was greeted extremely positively by employees, with P3M Consultant Eleanor Keefe saying: ‘It is great to work for a company who understands the challenges employees are facing at home and actually does something to help. ’ Principal Consultant Tony Commander echoed this by saying: ‘These are some amazing ways of helping people out there, very unexpected, and I suspect gratefully received by many.’

Alongside this winter payment plan, we are also supporting staff by separating the usual annual bonus into two payments with now one portion to be paid in December and another in July.

Ben Ames, Executive Director reiterated the above sentiments: ‘This winter is going to be tough for personal finances – we hope our progressive winter payment plan and December bonus will help alleviate some of the difficulties associated with spiralling fuel costs’.
